This new resource is a little different than others. Usually I do a new stand-alone resource bi-monthly, but this one is so important, that I wanted to feature it. The truth though is that this shouldn't be a stand-alone in the Resource Library. So for this month, I'm featuring The Armscye-Armhole at the special price, but it belongs with the Sleeve Package as part of the fit of the sleeve. So I'm featuring both the Sleeve Package and the
Armscye-Armhole at the special price.
This is a little like Color is to the Elements of Design. Color is so important that it gets its own resource document. The Armscye-Armhole deserves much the same. This gets in to as much the placement of the shoulder as it does into the drape and hang of the sleeve. If any of that is wrong, it's pretty much a goner.
If it's right, it can cure a wealth of sins that happen lower in the garment. Making the shoulders, armholes and the hang of the sleeve can make your garment so professional looking. This can also give you a look that you can not even dream for in RTW or where the poor ole consumers shop.
Haven't you ever wondered why people like Camilla and leaders look so nice, and yet every one else is left to shop for whatever is available? You can look nice, but the problem is that it's only for the very wealthy or those who sew. And since the RTW industry is busy telling most women they can't sew, therefore they don't need to have clothes that fit either.
Here's an example of someone who looks great in her jacket, even though there's a fitting problem at the waist, it still looks good. Her shoulders and sleeve head look great, and her sleeve hangs well, which makes the rest of her look great, even though the waist is a little snug.

This is a classic example of how great Camilla's clothes fit. Look at how structured and nice her shoulders are in proportion to the rest of her body. Her sleeves hang positively beautifully. And Camilla is not svelte by any means, but because her shoulders and particularly her sleeve head fit so well, this look works great for her.
This isn't brain surgery. It's a step-by-step process and sometimes it does take a number of steps to accomplish your goal, but it is achievable. Remember working on your forever or core pattern to make this area work and flatter you, is going to be rewarding for decades later.
The sleeve or more importantly the armscye seam - besides seam-ripping, I think, is what everyone perceives as the hardest seam alive. Well, mastering it does take some practice, but everything in sewing does, but once mastered, the sleeve is a beautiful thing. Yes, I know - I don't have a life when I think this is a beautiful thing, but there it is!!!
Watch me take this mess of a sleeve:

and turn it into this:

Don't purchase both of these resources - you only need one or the other.
What I've done here is that I know a lot of you already have the Entire Sleeve Resource. The one thing I've changed and updated and extended is the Armscye-Armhole Alteration Resource. So I'm offering both of them special this month.
If you don't have the Entire Sleeve Resource, it's at a tremendous discount. If you don't want the entire resource you can get the sleeve resources you want. Those resources are: Basic Sleeve Insertion, Correct Shoulder Placement, What's So
Great About the FBA?, The Sleeve Block, Sleeve Variations, Sleeve Details, and the Armscye-Armhole Alteration. If you have the Sleeve Resource and want to update it, the Armscye-Armhole Alteration Resource is at
discount as well.
