The Easiest Needle to Thread and How To Do It - Your Weekly Report from SewingArtistry

In my classes I see a lot of my students struggle mightily trying to thread a hand sewing needle. And I'm talking about my younger students - not those of us with mature eyes. The mature-eye group uses their magnifying specs which is fine, but I'm here to tell you, this doesn't have to be that hard.

This is something my mentor taught me a long time ago. Using an embroidery or crewel needle. This is like a cheaters way of threading a needle.

Now I could sit here and talk for a few more paragraphs, but how about a quickie video!

Practice this a couple of times, and you'll love it. I particularly love the 4-thread technique here and it's become a staple in my cadre of sewing tools.

Yeah - I know.....this looks a little different today - but that's so you can see the video in the email - theoretically (it better work!). Always trying something a little easier for you to see how to sew faster, better and easier with the same professional results you would see in fine clothing.
